Somewhere in there, I got into autocross, and then we had a bit of a falling out. My car's still awesome, but we're just not racing right now, not until we find better pavement.
Somewhere in there, I got into paintball, and then we won second place in a noob tournament in Pahrump. And yes, I was the only girl playing in the tourney. Awesome.
Somewhere in there, I painted two three-part-series in acrylics for friends' birthdays, but never took photos of them. The first was o a squirrel crawling down the canvas, his beloved acorn, and their reunion. The second set was of an elephant, her beloved peanut, and their union. Neato little set of 4x4s, but alas, forgot the photos. Maybe I can get some from the new owners.
Somewhere in there, I got a new Canon Rebel XTi, and photos will soon be taken. Some photos have been taken, but frankly, I don't get the ISO, aperture yadda yaddas and don't have the attention span to take it all in. I am awaiting my muse and will most likely use a manual focus, auto lighting setting until I do get an attention span.
I'm back though. Not with any new work. But I am back nonetheless. I have not died in some horrific car accident, I have not sold all of my belongings and moved to Hawaii to live out the rest of my days on the North Shore with the sea turtles. And no, that other rumor you head isn't true either.
I just need to let the juices flow again. I bought a neato 4x12 3-canvas set. Maybe something beautiful will happen.
In the meantime, you can check out some photography I have not loaded here but loaded on photobucket--It's not great. I was learning some action shots for the UNLV paintball shoot, and I was still working off the old camera for Hawaii, but it's something. It's all I've got.
